The Wensleydale Creamery

Home of the famous Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese has a popular visitor centre with a restaurant, coffee shop, cheese shop (with tasting!), gift shop, museum and cheese making viewing galley.

The Ropemakers

Established in 1905 and manufactures barrier ropes, banister ropes, pet accessories, dog leads, skipping ropes, clothes line and equestrian ropes. Attracts thousands of visitors every year, who come to watch traditional ropemaking in progress. Including a well-stocked shop full of gift ideas.

The Dales Countryside Museum

Tells the fascinating story of the Yorkshire Dales and the people who have lived and worked here and shaped the landscape for thousands of years. With loads of fun and interesting things for visitors of all ages to see and do, the Museum offers the chance to discover what is so unique about the Yorkshire Dales and make your visit to the area really special.

The Snaizeholme Red Squirrel viewing area

Lies in the heart of the Widdale Red Squirrel Reserve. Although coniferous woodland is ideal habitat for Red Squirrels, they can be difficult to see in such densely planted woodlands.

The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority and local landowners have created the Red Squirrel viewing area for the public at Snaizeholme, so you can see them in the wild.
